Japan's consumer sentiment falls in Nov

Japanese consumer confidence deteriorate further in November amid uncertainty over the economic outlook, the government said Monday. 

The index of sentiment among households made up of two or more people fell to an 11-month low of 39.jewellery scales4 from October's 39.7, the third straight month of decline. Readings below 50 reflected pessimists overweighed optimists. 

The Cabinet Office downgraded its basic assessment of the index, saying consumer confidence shows some "weak development," the same expression as one employed right after the March 2011 earthquake and tsunami. Three of the four components of the index, livelihood,sanitary napkin employment conditions and the timing for purchasing new durable goods, all fell.
